Thankfulness

This weekend is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada.  It is a time to share with family, eat lots of food, and remember what we have to be thankful for.  I know I have a lot to be thankful for.

I have a wonderful family and am marrying a wonderful man who has a lovely family.  This past weekend, my fiance and I spend some time with my parents and my younger sister and her husband.  We had a nice dinner and conversations.  We are missing my older sister and her husband who are out of the country right now.

I have a full-time job that gives me paid time off and is a very successful company and I work with a bunch of awesome people.  Sometimes I feel embarrassed that I am not working in the field I studied in, but I get reminded by loved ones that a lot of people end up changing their minds and switching career paths and that it is okay to do so.  I am very happy with where I am in life.

I am thankful for this blog and my decision to continue writing in it.  I think it was a good idea for me, help me get some of my other thoughts down.

I live in a spacious apartment with my husband-to-be and we are able to afford rent and utilities with a little left over to save for bigger things and emergencies.  I am grateful to have enough to eat every day, even though sometimes it is not as much or as exciting.  I am thankful to have a safe apartment to come home to. Although it has its issues but is better than a lot of places and better than the streets.  I get worried sometimes but that is when I must remember what I am thankful and trust in God and have faith that things will work out.  🙂
